  • Make sure your child drinks plenty of water if they develop diarrhea as a side effect.
  • Conditions like the common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never give this medicine for such conditions.
  • Give Amoxycillin to your child only for their current infection. Avoid storing the medicine for future use, as it is impossible to judge whether the same medicine would work for any future illnesses.
  • Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Taking probiotics along with Amoxycillin may help. Talk to your child’s doctor if you notice bloody stools or develop abdominal cramps.

Yes, the use of Mymox Suspension can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic, and it kills the harmful bacteria; however, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. If diarrhea persists, talk to your child’s doctor about it.
Q. Can I stop giving Mymox Suspension to my child when the symptoms are relieved?
No, do not stop giving Mymox Suspension and finish the full course of treatment even if the child feels better. Symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cleared.
