Sulfamethopyrazine(400mg)

Uses

Sulfamethopyrazine is used in the treatment of malaria and parasitic infections.

How it works

Sulfamethopyrazine is an antibiotic. It stops the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication.

Trimethoprim is used in the treatment of bacterial infections.

How it works

Trimethoprim is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

  • Do not take Sulfamethopyrazine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Discontinue Sulfamethopyrazine and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
