Alfuzosin(10mg)

Uses

Alfuzosin is used to treat problems with urination in men with enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia).

How it works

Alfuzosin is an alpha blocker. It works by relaxing muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily.

Common side effects

Upper respiratory tract infection, Dizziness, Headache, Nausea, Abdominal pain, Impotence, Postural hypotension (low blood pressure), Fainting, Vertigo, General discomfort, Drowsiness, Abnormal vision, Tachycardia, Palpitations, Priapism, Red spots or bumps, Liver injury, Cholestatic liver disease

Dutasteride is used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.

How it works

Dutasteride is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It blocks an enzyme which is necessary to change testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow. As a result, it helps to shrink the prostate and relieve the symptoms like difficulty in passing urine.
